When Mayor Higgins threatens to bull-doze the 81-year-old Pine Creek Community Center to make way for luxury condominiums complete with internet and “artisanal avocado toast bar”, a stubborn group of seniors, a high-stakes local trivia team, and the teens’ 24-hour charity livestream unite for an all-out resistance. Armed with nothing but sharp wit, a lucky dented punch bowl, and lots of memories, the residents have Christmas eve to prove their history matters. Will they succeed?
